Living Life Riverside: A Tragicomedy

Living Life Riverside is a tragicomedy about your vanilla-average Midwestern couple who, when they reached the age of fifty, stopped and asked themselves, “Is that all there is?”, decided their answer was “Hell No!”, and leapt blindly off a cliff in pursuit of the American dream by purchasing a historic, haunted, maintenance-deprived hotel in the 8,000-foot frozen extremes of Middle Park, Colorado.

About the Author: Richard Paradise was born in St. Louis, MO, and raised in Johnson County, KS. Educated by nuns, Jesuits and Jayhawks, he has spent the majority of his career writing about cements and adhesives for the commercial roofing industry. Not until his Colorado midlife crisis, the details of which are relayed in Living Life Riverside, did he begin writing for the sake of posterity and as a means of maintaining his sanity in an insane situation. Richard lives in Overland Park, KS, with his wife, Julie, and his dog, Lucy.
