COVID 19 Update - Vaccine Development
Jan. 26, 2021 12:00 p.m.
Dr. G Keith Jantz retired with over 45 years of experience as an Internal Medicine Specialist. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Math from the University of Kansas and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, completing his residency in Internal Medicine in Memphis. Dr. Jantz is Past-President and Medical Director of Corporate Wellness for the Kansas City Internal Medicine group. According to Dr. Jantz, “Prevention stands as the key to better health for individuals and society today and into the future. Our current health system is patching the dam on the wrong side, yielding unsatisfactory results at high costs by waiting until disease manifests itself and treating the outcomes.” Dr. Jantz’s focus emphasizes prevention of disease through various methods to improve health in the individual, in the workplace, and in the community. Dr. Jantz chaired the HCA ethics committee providing inpatient ethical consultation for medical dilemmas. He also organized several Medical Ethics symposiums involving nationally known medical ethics experts and started the inpatient palliative care program at Research Medical Center. He performs collaborative services for nurse practitioners and supports on site clinics designed to improve employee health and reduce health benefit costs for employers. He currently serves as Board Member and Physician speaker of the American Heart Association - Kansas City Chapter. |
