Dr. Greg Mosier is a tested and experienced leader, having served higher education in the community college and university settings for almost 30 years. Experienced working in complex state and university led systems and the independent community college setting, Dr. Mosier brings breadth and depth of experiences to the institutions and communities he serves. Previously serving as vice president of academic affairs at Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology, Mosier returned to follow his passion of serving the comprehensive community college mission in 2015 as vice president of academic affairs and executive vice president, academic affairs at Rochester Community and Technical College (RCTC). In 2018, he became president of Kansas City Kansas Community College (KCKCC). Beyond his educational experiences, Mosier has worked in the private sector, working for organizations such as NASA, Rockwell International, Dyn-Corp, Technologies International, EduSystems Inc., and the Consortium for International Development. Work for these groups included Department of Defense contract work in the United States as well as community college development, establishment, and instructor training for World Bank projects and the Ministries of Education in Yemen, Bahrain, and Saudi Arabia. |

COVID 19 Update - Vaccine Development

Dr. G Keith Jantz retired with over 45 years of experience as an Internal Medicine Specialist. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Chemistry and Math from the University of Kansas and Doctor of Medicine from the University of Kansas School of Medicine, completing his residency in Internal Medicine in Memphis. Dr. Jantz is Past-President and Medical Director of Corporate Wellness for the Kansas City Internal Medicine group. According to Dr. Jantz, “Prevention stands as the key to better health for individuals and society today and into the future. Our current health system is patching the dam on the wrong side, yielding unsatisfactory results at high costs by waiting until disease manifests itself and treating the outcomes.” Dr. Jantz’s focus emphasizes prevention of disease through various methods to improve health in the individual, in the workplace, and in the community. Dr. Jantz chaired the HCA ethics committee providing inpatient ethical consultation for medical dilemmas. He also organized several Medical Ethics symposiums involving nationally known medical ethics experts and started the inpatient palliative care program at Research Medical Center. He performs collaborative services for nurse practitioners and supports on site clinics designed to improve employee health and reduce health benefit costs for employers. He currently serves as Board Member and Physician speaker of the American Heart Association - Kansas City Chapter. |

Dr. Sharla Smith is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Population Health at the University of Kansas School of Medicine-Kansas City. Dr. Sharla Smith has a PhD in Health Systems and Services Research with a concentration in Health Economics. Dr. Smith earned an undergraduate degree in biology from the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff, a Master of Public Health degree in Health Policy and Management from University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and a PhD in Health Services and Systems Research at UAMS. She is a health services researcher who has been working in public health since 2006. Her current research focuses on maternal and infant health disparities. Dr. Smith is also one of the founding partners of the Kansas Birth Equity Network (K-BEN) which has a mission of eliminating health disparities for African Americans in Kansas by increasing awareness of the high rate of African American maternal and infant mortality and connecting individuals with local resources.

Teneca Clark is the Regional General Manager of Production for Heartland Coca-Cola Bottling Company. Prior to accepting her current role, Teneca was the Director of Plant Operations and Quality Manager at Lenexa Production Hometown. Before Teneca’s time with Heartland, she led Quality, Sanitation and Food Safety departments at National Beef Packing Company, Bimbo Bakeries, and Rockline Industries. Teneca’s most valued professional accomplishment is always directly assisting at least one person, at every facility she has worked in, by helping that person develop and reach the next step in his or her career path. She is a graduate of Oklahoma State University where she earned a double major in Cell & Molecular Biology and Microbiology and is pending thesis in her Master of Food Science. Teneca is a Certified Microbiologist, a Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, an advocate for diversity, equity and inclusion, and she is currently completing her Master of Business Administration at Kansas University. She is involved with Heartlands DE&I, sustainability, and community outreach committees as well as Calm Waters and Solace House grief initiatives and Pembroke Hills Diversity and Parent Education Board. The most important part of Teneca’s life is being a proud parent to her fearlessly wonderful 9-year-old daughter, Dayja, and honoring the life of her two guardian angels.

Robin C. Henry is a scholar of gender and sexuality and legal and constitutional rights, including late 20th and 21st century civil rights movements. She earned her Ph.D. in US history from Indiana University in Bloomington in 2006. She is an Associate Professor in the Department of History at Wichita State University, serves as the Graduate Coordinator of the M.A. program, and is a faculty fellow in the Dorothy and Bill Cohen Honors College. She is the author of numerous articles and chapters dealing with the construction of masculinity in the American West, sexual education in the early twentieth century, the effects of legal dormancy on public policy and civil rights, and the memory of the Ludlow massacre. She is a contributor to the KMUW commentary series, “Past and Present,” as well as the author and creator of the 6-part podcast, Hindsight: Looking Back at 100 Years of Women’s Suffrage. Her book, Criminalizing Sex, Defining Sexuality: Sexual Regulation and Masculinity in the American West, 1850-1927 is forthcoming from New York University Press. Currently, she is working on a book on the Colorado jurist and juvenile legal advocate, Benjamin Barr Lindsey. |
